How to Score Decent Marks in the NEET exam?

Biology contains the major portion of the exam. Physics and Chemistry are said to be the game changer and not every as[pirant is good in all three subjects. NEET Exam pattern 

Knowing the exam pattern should always be the top priority. This will help you study in a very exam-oriented manner as the syllabus is vast and the period can be less. The NEET exam consists of 3 sections, biology has half the portion and the rest is divided into chemistry and physics. We can just assume that biology tends to be a strong section for biology students so you have to get a good grip of biology.  It is always advised that you should get a printout of the syllabus and stick it near your study area. By doing this you will get a better analysis of your productivity. This will help you prevent losing your marks due to silly mistakes that you might regret later. Four marks are given for every correct answer and a negative marking of one mark is for every wrong answer.

Physics and Chemistry

As mentioned above the other half is divided into these two subjects. Even though you think you have a good grip on biology and its concept you cannot just neglect the other two subjects. This is because it can be a game-changer. It is advised that you can start from chemistry, download the pdf of the NEET syllabus for a better understanding of the important topics. It is better if you have the marks distribution of each chapter. Try to focus on the topics that are majorly repeated. Practice the subjects through the previous year’s questions.

Daily target

As you know the competition is only increasing every year, and seats are just limited. This is the reason you cannot slack in any way. It is better if you are focused on your goal from the very starting. Daily, weekly and monthly targets should be made. This will help you keep a track of your productivity and analyze your work. Make sure to solve at least 100 questions daily of biology and you can reduce the number of questions to 50 for physics and chemistry. 

Study material 

Study materials have the greatest impact. You should always take the help of an authentic book. If you have joined any coaching institutes then their modules should be properly done and take all the tests seriously. You can also take the help of your school teacher or take the guide from any student that has already qualified for the exam. It is very important to complete your NCERT and learn it by heart especially in biology. Don’t just move from one book to another, apart from NCERT just complete one reference book along with the regular practice of questions.

Remembering all the things of biology can be a tedious task. People generally tend to forget some key points and names that will lead them back to square one. This is because it is not important by how many marks you were not selected, if you are not selected then you have to study for another one years along with other repeaters. Therefore make sure you make mind maps and flashcards for important points that are repeated from time to time. Every week you can just write important points on your own and make sure to learn the ones which you were not able to recall. 

Time management

In that exam hall, those three hours are just everything for which you have dreamt and devoted a year. People tend to get anxious at the wrong time which causes blunders. This anxiety before the exams can be controlled and can be completely stopped by regular practice by sitting in the same environment. You should give a mock test and after you think you have almost completed the syllabus then start giving full-length mock papers. This will help you analyze your mistake and learn from them in a better way. You can also join some test series so that you can complete and see your rank among other students.

Weak points

While doing the regular practice of questions, make sure that you got to know your weak areas. You have to make these weak areas strong before the final day. Given special attention to them, spend time memorizing, understanding the concepts, and then applying them while solving the problems. You have to take much care of Physics as it can be just flip the result. Make sure you have done a lot of practice with a variety of question types.
